Craft Fair Success!

So, after finally taking the plunge and signing up for (and doing!) my first craft fair, I feel like a new woman!

The first half hour was nerve wracking... Watching everyone else make sales and thinking, "Oh no what have I let myself in for..." But once the numbers started bumping up, things really took off.

I had to wave goodbye to several of my beautiful brooches (it's so sad seeing them go) and lots of cards!

It was such a lovely time! The other vendors were all very nice, and there was some serious talent going on in that room. It was so busy from the moment it started, that I didn't get a good chance to look around other stalls, so I sent a photographer around to be my eyes.

There were cakes, cards, bags, blankets, photographs, jewellery, glass baubles, science themed goodies and loads more! Here's a few pictures of my fellow vendors...

Science is coming to town!

I bought some cakes with my profits and there were the most delicious cakes I've had in a long time! They were actually from the vendor you can just about see, just at the top right of the back of this photo Lauren Melrose, they didn't last long once we'd had that first bite... This one had mince meat in the middle. How amazing is that??

I was so inspired by my first craft fair, and had such a good time that I'm already thinking about signing up for my next one... This coming Saturday in Portobello! I was also going to put together a bunch of tips and tricks about what I've learned over the past few weeks, in my preparations and during the craft fair itself. So if you have any questions you'd like answered, let me know in the comments below or by emailing me, and I'll answer them in my next few posts!

{Many stalls didn't have contact details, so if you are one of the unidentified makers featured in this post please let me know who you are so I can add a link to your website. If you'd prefer not to be featured, let me know and I'll remove the photograph immediately}

  1. Wow, congrats on your first craft fair! Your stand looked great and I'm glad you sold many of your products... it means there will now be space for you to make some more :-)
